Spring Cleaning for a Successful Tomorrow
I recently came across Oprah’s blog post about Spring Cleaning and something really spoke to me inside her post about how our external world is reflection of our internal world. This is not a new concept for me, but it was such a nice reminder.
I recently moved apartments in New York City and during the week of my move, I had over booked myself with appointments, thinking I could do it all. I had to shift things around in my schedule to balance everything out. I also was not sleeping enough that week. I was scattered and not giving 100% to anything. Everything was rushed and completed with a hurried sense of mind.
What’s interesting and relevant about Oprah’s post and my life that week in NY is everything was in boxes, bags and suitcases from my move. I had not organized or prepared myself for the week ahead. I literally just went full steam ahead and realized how I was affected in all areas. If I had taken 1-2 days to thoroughly unpack and organize I perhaps would have been able to show up in a much clearer and more organized state of mind to all of my commitments.
I realized that taking a small bit of time to clean through, organize and prepare can literally make a huge difference setting up for a successful tomorrow. I have now really made organization a priority so that I am clear in my mind, heart and soul and prepared to give 100% to my appointments. Thank you, Oprah for the great reminder!
Love,
Tess
